Of Note:

Nichols jumped out to an early lead in game number one with a sacrifice fly that gave them a 1-0 lead. Junior pitcher Summer Ramundo was able to keep the Bison bats at bay from the second inning on surrendering no runs and three hits in five total innings of work. Offensively, the Wildcats tied it up in the bottom of the second on an RBI single from first baseman Hailey Erickson. After a sacrifice fly off the bat of Devin Scales gave the Wildcats the lead in the third, they scored twice in the fourth to take the 4-1 advantage. Rookie Sage Borkowski pitched the 6th and 7th innings for the Wildcats and kept the door closed to secure her first career save.

JWU used two run-scoring doubles in the first to take an early lead. Two more runs in the 3rd, including Antaya's second of the contest, pushed the lead to 4-0. The lead was short lived as Nichols was able to score four runs on two singles and two doubles in the top half of the 4th. The Wildcats took the lead back in the 5th after an Erickson single scored Antaya. Kaelani Gamble extended the lead to 7-4 with a two-run single. After Ramundo surrendered a pair of runs in the top of the 7th, Borkowski came in to secure the final out.
