The Johnson & Wales Men's Soccer team fell to the Monks of St. Joseph's College (Me.) on Saturday afternoon, 1-0. The Wildcats suffered their second GNAC loss, falling to 3-2 in conference overall and 6-2 overall.
The lone goal of the match came in the 30th minute of action from St. Joseph's Colin Grant, and he was assisted by Austin Ward on the goal. The shot was one of two shots for the Monks on the day.
The Wildcats put five shots on goal in comparison to three for the Monks. Conner Elliot (Mansfield, Mass.), Austin Sweeney (Nutley, N.J.), JP Rioux (Stony Point, N.Y.), Ricky Africo (North Providence, R.I.), and Edwin Goncalves (Cumberland, R.I.) each had one shot on goal.
The Wildcats play an out of conference match on Tuesday when they travel to Worcester, Mass. to take on the Engineers of WPI at 7:00pm.
