Wildcats Too Much for Regis 3-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tuesday the Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team got back into GNAC action. The Wildcats won their fifth match in a row by going on the road to beat Regis College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-22).

Johnson & Wales: 8-7, 2-0 GNAC

Of Note:
After rolling to the first set, the Wildcats were tied 21-21 in set two. Two Regis errors and kills from Ben Naouai and Sanjae Holloway gave JWU a 2-0 advantage.

The Pride got within 24-22 in the third set, but Matt McCarthy's kill ended the match.

Johnson & Wales hit .250 for the match, including .375 in the second set, while limiting the hosts to a .116 rate.

Four different Wildcats had five or more kills, topped by seven from Holloway, who also led the way with six digs.

Rookie Joao Boaventura produced five kills, five digs and three blocks.

The Wildcats go on the road Friday to face top-ranked Springfield at 7 p.m.
