PROVIDENCE, RI – The Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team stayed in the hunt for a first round GNAC tournament home game by defeating Colby-Sawyer College Tuesday night. The Wildcats swept the Chargers 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-14).

Jack Pincince (JWU): 10 kills, 5 digs, 2 blocks
Dondre Crump (JWU): 14 kills
Cameron Ponce (JWU): 40 assists, 5 digs

Of Note:
The Wildcats relied on their defense in the first set as their 12 digs created 10 extra attacks. Back-to-back JWU errors pulled the Chargers within 21-20, but the visitors returned the favor with two errors of their own plus kills from Sanjae Holloway and Jack Pincince sealed set one.

In set two, the JWU offense came alive as the hosts hit .481. Johnson & Wales outhit the Chargers .380 to .182 for the match.

Leading all players with a career-high 14 kills was sophomore Dondre Crump. Pincince was next with 10 winners. Setter Cameron Ponce handed out a season-high 40 assists.

Topping the Chargers was Orlando Plagata with 10 kills as well as six digs. AJ Gnieski had 22 assists.
