Men's Volleyball Drop 3-0 Decision at Rivier

NASHUA, NH – The Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team did not have an answer for Rivier's offensive on Tuesday. The Wildcats dropped a 3-0 (13-25, 11-25, 22-25) contest to the Raiders.

The loss dropped the Wildcats to 14-14 overall, 6-4 in the conference. The Raiders remained in first place at 11-0, 20-6 overall.

Rivier posted a .439 hitting percentage while the Wildcats were limited to .029. The Raiders also had eight blocks, compared to three by JWU.

A Dondre Crump kill and Rivier error pulled JWU within 23-22 in the third set. The Raiders got a pair of kills to wrap up the match. Nick Bitetto had team highs of seven kills and seven digs. Setter Cameron Ponce dished out 14 assists and had two blocks.

Johnson & Wales plays its final regular season home game on Thursday against Emmanuel at 7 p.m. JWU will honor seniors Kanila Chang and Matt LaVasseur before the match.
