Johnson & Wales Dominates Dean 3-0

PROVIDENCE, RI – Continuing the momentum it gained from winning its final match over the weekend, the Johnson & Wales University men's volleyball team rolled to a straight-set victory on Monday. The Wildcats defeated visiting Dean College 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-17).

Of Note: 
The Johnson & Wales offense was too much for the Bulldogs as the Wildcats started the match by hitting .579. JWU was nearly as accurate in the second set, hitting .500 with no attacking errors. Dean got within 18-14 in the third set before Matthew McCarthy served three-straight points to give the hosts a comfortable lead.

Johnson & Wales hit a season-high .491 with a season-best nine aces. Seven players hit .500 or better, led by Keiron Jeremiah with a rate of .625 that included five kills. Nick Bitetto also had five kills and three of the nine aces. Setter Cameron Ponce dished out 20 kills in only two sets of work.

Topping all players was the Bulldogs' Diondre Gomes as he produced a match-high 13 kills. Bobby Tetreault handed out 17 assists.
