Box Score The men's volleyball team posted a 3-1 (25-11, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19) victory against Bard in a non-conference contest at the Springfield Invitational on Friday evening.
Johnson & Wales was led by senior Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) with 17 kills and two blocks while sophomore Ryan Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) notched a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs for the Wildcats. Junior J.J. Bessette (Coventry, R.I.) recorded 43 set assists with five digs and three kills in the victory.
Alex Adams paced Bard with eight kills and six digs while Henry Kasiske notched 24 set assists and eight digs in the setback.
With the win Johnson & Wales improves to 6-3 overall while Bard falls to 3-9 on the year. The Wildcats will return to on Saturday, February 15th for the second day of the Springfield Invitational. JWU will take on New Paltz at 12:30 p.m. and wrap up the tournament at 4:30 p.m. against host Springfield
