Box Score The men's volleyball squad posted a 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 24-26, 15-13) victory against Emerson in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest on the road on Thursday evening.
Johnson & Wales was led by junior Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) with 17 kills and six digs while sophomore J.J. Bessette (Coventry, R.I.) tallied 62 set assists in the win for the Wildcats.
Alex Frapech led the way for Emerson with 18 kills and 13 digs while Jackson Wiley notched 19 kills in the loss for the Lions.
With the win Johnson & Wales improves to 12-16 for the season and 7-5 in the GNAC while Emerson falls to 10-15 and 4-8 in league play. The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, April 6th when they take on Wentworth and Lasell for a GNAC tri-match at 1:00 p.m.
