The men's volleyball squad competed at the Endicott March Mania Invitational over the weekend.  On Saturday, JWU fell to #13 MIT by a score of 3-1 (6-25, 21-25, 26-24, 17-25) and also dropped a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-27, 18-25) decision to Sage.  On Sunday, JWU fell to Endicott 3-2 (26-24, 22-25, 25-16, 17-25, 12-15) and wrapped the weekend with a 3-0 (15-25, 19-25, 13-25) loss to Kean.

Junior Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 3.25 kills per set on the weekend.  In the 3-2 setback against Endicott, he tallied 21 kills, nine digs and five service aces.  Sophomore J.J. Bessette (Coventry, R.I.) averaged 9.0 assists per set for JWU over the course of the tournament.  He tallied 37 assists in the loss to 13^th ranked MIT.

Johnson & Wales is now 6-8 for the season and 4-2 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.  The Wildcats will return to action on March 15-16 when they host the Wildcat Invitational at the Wildcat Center.  Action begins on Friday the 15^th at 4:00 p.m.
