Junior Joanne Mumbey (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) was tabbed an All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection after notching a fourth place finish to lead the Johnson & Wales University women's cross country team to a fifth place finish at the 2013 GNAC Championship on Saturday. The Wildcats finished with 106 team points while Emmanuel took home the team title with 48 points on the day.
Mumbey clocked in with a time of 21:04 over the 5K course while freshman Krissa Polimeni (Rockaway, N.J.) finished in a time of 22:19 which was good for a 20th place finish. Senior Kristen DeCesare (Cranston, R.I.) notched a 25th place finish in a time of 22:40 while freshman Kimberly Sheridon (West Warwick, R.I.) had a time of 22:57, good for a 29th place finish. Senior Aubrey Francis (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) rounded out the top-30 runners for JWU with a time of 23:04 for a 30th place finish
The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, November 9th when they travel to Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. for the ECAC Division III Championship.
