Box Score 2 The men's volleyball squad finished with a fourth place finish at the Vassar Invitational this weekend, dropping a 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 16-25) decision against Springfield before wrapping up the weekend with a 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21) win over Lancaster Bible for the fourth place finish.
In the win over Lancaster, sophomore Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) led the way with 13 kills and 24 digs while sophomore Dan Tiner (Salem, N.H.) had 12 kills and three digs in the victory for the Wildcats.
In the loss against Springfield, JWU was led by Tiner with seven kills while freshman J.J. Bessette (Coventry, R.I.) tallied 19 set assists with four digs in the setback.
With the split on the day, Johnson & Wales is now 14-14 on the season. The Wildcats will return to action on Tuesday, April 3rd when they travel to Rivier for a GNAC contest, starting at 7:00 p.m.
