Providence, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales
University men's volleyball team notched a 3-0 victory
against Regis in a non-conference contest at the Harborside
Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon. Johnson & Wales posted
a 30-11 victory in game one and took the 2-0 lead with a 30-11 game
two win. The Wildcats finished with a 30-14 win in game three to
seal the victory.
Freshman Sean Livesy (West Greenwich, R.I.) led
the way for Johnson & Wales with 12 kills and five digs.
Sophomore Robert Slough (Buffalo, N.Y.) added 25
set assists and five digs while sophomore Tim Haley (West
Warwick, R.I.) had nine kills, four service aces and two
blocks in the victory.
Freshman Andrew Haddon (Nantucket, Mass.) paced
Regis with five kills while freshman Kevin Prescella
(Lexington, Mass.) added four kills and five digs for the
Pride in the setback.
With the victory Johnson & Wales is now 3-5 for the year while
Regis falls to 0-6. The Wildcats will return to action on Tuesday,
February 9th when they host Mount Ida for a Great Northeast
Athletic Conference contest at 7:00 p.m.
