Ryan Gray joined the Johnson & Wales Women’s Soccer coaching staff in 2021, helping the Wildcats to their second straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship. Ryan also assisted with the Men’s team, helping them to a semi-final appearance and a 15-4 overall record.

Gray brings a wealth of experience in playing and coaching before his time at JWU.  In his playing days, Gray reached a semi-professional level in Wolverhampton, England.  He played at this level for five years before moving to the United States.  Before moving, he started his coaching career with the Wolverhampton Wanders in England.

Upon arriving in the United States, Gray started as the Head Coach for Rhode Island ODP in 2017, coaching both boys’ and girls’ youth soccer.  In the same year, he was an Assistant Coach with Blackstone Valley Prep High School, helping the program to their first ever playoff appearance.  He is also a staff coach with Bayside FC, a premier team out of Rhode Island, coaching a variety of age groups since 2017. 

Gray holds soccer coaching licenses in England and the United States.  He currently holds an FA (England) Level 2 and USSF (U.S.) C license.
