Bill Bernard has been a staple of the JWU women’s basketball program for many years, none of which were more memorable than the 2025-26 campaign.
This past season, the Wildcats captured the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship in their first season as a member. JWU rolled to a 15-1 conference mark and defeated Western New England in the CNE Championship at the Wildcat Center on February 21. Grace Jaffray was named CNE Player of the Year and, along with classmate Brianne Foley, was named to the CNE First Team. Porcic, meanwhile, was tabbed CNE Coach of the Year while Jaffray went on to earn Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America honors.
In 2024-25, JWU posted a 23-3 record and was the No. 1 seed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament. Four student-athletes – Grace Jaffray, Isabella Suero, and Brianne Foley – all garnered all-conference honors with Jaffray garnering both GNAC Rookie of the Year and D3hoops.com Region 1 Rookie of the Year honors. Suero, meanwhile, led the nation with 99 triples while JWU as a whole led all of Division III with 282 three-pointers.
