Eric Graham became the sixth head coach in the history of the JWU (Providence) men’s ice hockey program prior to the start of the 2019-20 campaign. The 2024-25 season marked the return of the Wildcats to the Conference of New England (CNE) (formerly Commonwealth Coast Conference) and the squad responded with its highest win total since the 2016-17 campaign.
Graham came to JWU following three years as an assistant coach at Bowdoin College, where he coached the defense handled video analysis, recruiting, alumni relations, and community service. The Bears qualified for the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) playoffs in 2016-17.
Prior to joining the Bowdoin staff, Graham spent four seasons as the head coach at North Yarmouth Academy. In his final season, the Panthers won 19 games – their highest win total in more than a decade – and advancing to the conference championship. In addition to running the NYA program, Graham also served as the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Holt Commissioner.
A 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in business administration and economics, Graham was a four-year member of the Huskies men’s hockey program. The North Berwick, Maine native appeared in 60 games on defense, collecting five points and 52 PIM, and helped USM climbed as high as No. 7 in the national rankings in 2007-08. Graham served as the president of the student athlete advisory committee (SAAC) during his time in Brunswick and was twice named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Academic Team.
