Megan Salsinha

Megan Salsinha begins her second season as an assistant coach with the JWU (Providence) field hockey program in 2024. The Wildcats won 17 games in her first season as a member of the coaching staff and helped them capture their third-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.

Salsinha is a 2023 graduate of UMass Lowell who appeared in 25 games over four seasons as a member of the Riverhawks field hockey team. The Westport, Massachusetts native was named a Zag/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Scholar of Distinction in 2019 and earned a spot on the NFHCA National Academic Squad in both 2019 and 2020. Additionally, Salsinha was named to the America East Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll in 2019 and the America East All-Academic Team in 2021.

Salsinha – who has previous coaching experience with Allegiance Field Hockey (2017-present) and The Wheeler School (2023-present) – graduated UML with a bachelor’s degree in biology and biological sciences while minoring in psychology.
