Xavier Botelho ’24 returned to his alma mater to serve as an assistant coach with the JWU (Providence) baseball team in 2026. He was a member of three Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship teams (2022-23, 2025) who played in nine NCAA Tournament games.
This past season, JWU narrowly missed the playoffs in their first season of competition in the Conference of New England (CNE).
The Rehoboth, Massachusetts native graduated third in hits (200), fourth in runs (131), and fifth in RBI (133) in program history. Botelho was a two-time GNAC First Team pick (2023-24) and a two-time GNAC Second Team honoree (2022, 2025) who appeared in 163 games at the hot corner.
