PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JWU (Providence) junior Amanda Intrieri has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Intrieri placed first overall at the Suffolk Short Course Classic in Saturday's season opener. She posted a time of 10:43.2, which was a full 40 seconds ahead of the next closest runner.

The Wildcats closed the meet in second place, which was behind only Division I competitor University of New Hampshire.
