Junior Amanda Intrieri picked up her first individual win at JWU as her PR time of 10:43.2 was an impressive 40 full seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Teammates Evelyn Eastman (12:00.1), Caroline Carter (12:00.9) and Lulani Haslinger (12:03.2) nearly crossed the finish line together, giving JWU four individuals in the top 15.

Sophomore Josie Spaulding (12:08.2) took 19th place while graduate student Avery Goshert (12:55.0) finished her day just inside the top 50. First-year Shelby Querry (13:40.5) made her collegiate debut and graduate student Allison Borduin (14:08.9) rounded out the scoring for JWU.

The Wildcats finished second behind only Division I member University of New Hampshire, which scored 36 points. Meanwhile, host Suffolk – which entered this fall with a national ranking of 27 – finished the day 77 points behind JWU's stellar performance. The second-place finish is the highest finish for the Wildcats in five total attempts at the Suffolk Short Course Classic.

JWU looks to continue the momentum next Saturday when it takes part in the George Suitor Invitational hosted by Trinity (CT) College.
