PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse head coach Olivia Duarte has announced her resignation to accept an assistant coaching position at a Division I institution.

In three seasons as head coach of the Wildcats, Duarte guided the Wildcats to a 38-18 record, three playoff appearances, two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) finals appearances, and the 2024 GNAC Championship.

"We thank Olivia for her contributions to the women's lacrosse program and wish her nothing but success as she embarks on the next stage of her coaching career," said JWU Director of Athletic Dana Garfield. "Our program has a rich history of success and that will not change as this program moves forward."

A national search for a women's lacrosse head coach will begin later this month.
