PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JWU (Providence) graduate student Julia Caputo has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America® women's track and field/cross country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). 

A transfer from Siena University, Caputo completed her final year of eligibility for the Wildcats and was named the Conference of New England (CNE) Track Athlete of the Year. The Canton, Massachusetts native – who received her MBA from JWU in May – placed first in the 800m run (2:21.43), 1500m run (4:38.48), and 5000m run (17:11.16) at the conference championship on April 25 to earn all-conference honors in all three.

Caputo – who was named to the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country team last month – went on to compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in Wisconsin in May, where she placed 10th in the country in the 5000m run with a time of 16:47.42. For her efforts, she earned All-America Second Team honors.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® program.

Caputo was one of two Conference of New England (CNE) student-athletes honored by CSC as she was joined by Kayla Pelletier (Hartford), who was named to the Second Team.
