BEVERLY, Mass. – Senior Mady Lyons has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Softball Player of the Week.

The Prior Lake, Minnesota native batted .692 (9-for-13) with three home runs and nine RBI for the Wildcats last week. She went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI against Endicott in game two of a DH on Monday, then combined to go 5-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI in a DH against Rhode Island College the following day.

On the season, Lyons is batting .542 with seven home runs, 26 RBI, and a 1.051 slugging pct. in 18 games. Last week, she moved into sole possession of first place in program history with 31 to go with 149 RBI, which is second all-time at JWU.

The Wildcats (8-10, 2-4 CNE) host Roger Williams in a conference DH Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
