BEVERLY, Mass. – Freshman Avery Hall has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career.

Playing their first game at the Rhode Island Sports Center following the tragic events at their home facility, Lynch Arena, on February 16, Hall turned aside to 28 shots to earn her fourth win of the season as the Wildcats doubled-up second-place Western New England, 4-2. The win was the 12th of the season for the Wildcats, which is a new program record.

Thus far in 2025-26, Hall owns a 4-4-1 record with a .943 save pct. and a 1.97 goals against average (GAA). She becomes the third Wildcat to capture a CNE weekly award this season, joining sophomore Marissa Lafferty (Player of the Week, Jan. 25) and classmate Ashley Bergeron (Rookie of the Week, Feb. 16).

The Wildcats (13-11-1) – who earned the No. 3 seed in the CNE Tournament – will play just the second home playoff game in the 11-year history of the program on Wednesday, February 25 against No. 6 seed Curry at 6 p.m. at the Rhode Island Sports Center in North Smithfield, R.I.
