CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Lena Nicholson and freshman Rhiana Thomas each placed in the top 11 in the weight throw for the JWU (Providence) women's track & field team Saturday at the Gordon Kelly Invitational on the campus of MIT.

Nicholson finished ninth with a throw of 13.62m while Thomas captured 11th (13.35m). Thomas also placed 18th in the shot put (10.39m) while senior Katelyn O'Brien (10.27m) and freshman Lauren Stanger (10.25m) finished 19th and 20th, respectively.

Other JWU finishers included:

• Freshman Alison Quiambao was 16th in the 400m dash (1:06.93)
• Freshman Daysi De Leon Clarke took 20th 400m dash (1:07.13)
• Junior Lulani Haslinger placed 26th in the one mile run (5:38.47)
• Senior Avery Goshert captured 38th in the one mile run (5:54.42)
