BOSTON, Mass. – Graduate student Silas Sawtelle scored a team-high 21 points for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in an 89-56 loss to Wenworth Wednesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Tansey Gymnasium.

Sawtelle knocked down 7-of-18 FGA – including a pair of triples – and also snared nine rebounds for the Wildcats (1-14, 0-4 CNE). Freshman Omar Grullon scored seven points while classmates Colin Rice and De'Angelo Owens each finished with six.

Graduate student Dylan Hooter pulled down seven boards to go with four points and three steals for a JWU squad which shot 31 pct. from the field and was outrebounded 41-34.

The Leopards (1-13, 1-6 CNE) canned 55 percent of their shots and had three student-athletes finish in double-figures in scoring.
