PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's soccer team was defeated by Emmanuel (MA) College 1-0 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

The Saints (1-0-2) – who closed the match with an 11-7 edge in shots – scored the only goal of the match on a misplay by the Wildcats that resulted in an own goal 1:46 into the match.

JWU junior goalkeeper Andrew Nardolillo was credited with four saves. Classmate Carlos Andrade paced the Wildcat offense with three shots while classmate Bruno Teixeira took two.
