Zofia Bangs scored the only goal of the match late in the first quarter in the JWU (Providence) field hockey team's 1-0 win at Plymouth State University Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Panther Field.

Emily Downing racked up an assist on Bangs' ninth tally of the season as the Wildcats snapped a two-game losing skid and improved to 6-3 on the season. Junior
Sophia Brea recorded four saves en route to her third shutout of the season.

Susannah Brown led all student-athletes with four shots each. JWU outshot the Panthers 18-7.
