Chloe Casavant scored her second goal of the season for the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team in a 4-1 loss to No. 12 Brandeis University Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
The Judges – who enters the match No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Region 2 rankings – improved to 6-0-1 with the win. The visitors outshot the Wildcats 20-7 – including 14-1 in the opening half.
Brandeis carried a 1-0 lead into halftime before scoring three times in a span of 7:32 late in the second half to open a four-goal cushion. Casavant broke the Judges' shutout bid with 3:16 remaining in regulation. Casavant was one of three JWU student-athletes with two shots.

Ava Vaughan got the start in goal for the Wildcats (2-3-2) and tallied four saves before being lifted at the half in favor of freshman
Kyla Stamilio, who picked up one save.
