RJ Jones scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in a 64-56 loss to Lasell University Tuesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Wildcat Center.
Jones also picked up three steals and dished out two assists as the Wildcats shot 30 percent – including 25 percent from downtown (7-of-28). Junior
Izaiah Shaw-Glen chipped in with seven points and seven boards while sophomore
Miftah Ibiyemi scored seven off the bench, all in the second half.
The Lasers (16-5, 7-1 GNAC) shot 40 percent (5-of-23 three-pointers) and outrebounded the Wildcats 47-41. They featured three student-athletes in double-figures, led by Marcus Lewis with a game-high 27 in 39 minutes of action.

Josh Zangerle each netted six first-half points to send JWU to the locker room down three at the half (29-26). Lasell extended its lead to 13 midway through the second half before a triple from Duke cut the deficit to six at 52-46. The Lasers used a 6-0 run to quickly push the lead back to 12 with less than five minutes remaining.
