Silas Sawtelle scored a team-high 14 points for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in an 85-57 loss to Rivier University Monday night in non-conference action at the Wildcat Center.
The Collinsville, Connecticut native knocked down a pair of triples and also pulled down seven boards for the Wildcats, who turned 21 Rader turnovers into 22 points but were outrebounded 45-27.

Azariah Harrison netted 12 points while junior and reigning Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week
Alvin Baez was held to nine points on 4-of-17 shooting. Freshmen
Jonathan Ramos and
Khalil Thompson each finished with six points.
The Wildcats trailed by 25 at the half (45-20) as Baez and Sawtelle each had six. Rivier (1-1) knocked down 47 percent of its shots (16-of-34) and held the home team to 29 percent shooting.
The Raiders – who finished the contest shooting 53 percent – saw their lead grow to as many as 37 in the second half. Four student-athletes finish in double figures in scoring, led by Theo Briscoe IV with 25 points (7-of-13 three-pointers).
