NEWPORT, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Rodgers Recreation Center.
Seahawks 3, Wildcats 2 (22-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 14-16)
Freshman
Vivi Mansfield paced the Wildcats with 15 kills to go along with four digs. Sophomore
Nevaeh Arnold and freshman
Brooke Caquelin each threw down 14 kills and combined for nine digs. Freshman
Sophia Santacroce picked up a double-double with 41 assists and 10 digs, senior
Sierra Nausieda notched 17 digs, and sophomore
Bailey Koopman went for eight kills (.462 hitting pct.).
Judges 3, Wildcats 0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-19)
Mansfield recorded a team-high 13 kills on 36 attempts while securing eight digs. Caquelin tallied five kills, Koopman collected four, and Arnold finished with three. Nausieda once again racked up 17 digs and Santacroce dished out 21 helpers.
