Men's Soccer drops 3-0 loss on Leopards

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Chad Parente scored one of three first-half goals for the JWU (Providence) men's soccer team in a 3-0 win over Wentworth Wednesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Sweeney Field.

Classmate Jordan Thibodeau also found the back of the net for the Wildcats (5-3-3, 3-1-1 CNE), who have won three of their last four. JWU outshot the Leopards – who handed the visitors an own goal at 27:45 of the first half – by a 15-8 margin and held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Parente made the Leopards pay for turning the ball over in their own end with an upper 90 goal at 20:10. Following the own goal eight minutes later, Thibodeau knocked a loose ball over the Leopards keeper with 66 seconds remaining in the opening stanza to make it 3-0.

Junior Christopher Vargas led all student-athletes with four shots with classmate Alexander Nardolillo recorded two saves to notch his fifth win of 2025.
