Sophia Warburton scored her first goal of the season for the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team in a 2-1 loss to Endicott College Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Homecoming Weekend at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Kylie Schmidt played the ball to Warburton from the JWU backfield to earn an assist on the play. The Wildcats – who received three saves from freshman goalie
Kyla Stamilio – slipped to 4-7-1 with the loss (2-2-0 CNE).
Warburton's shot into the lower left corner gave JWU a 1-0 lead 81 seconds into the match. JWU outshot the Gulls 3-2 through the first 45 minutes before the Gulls drew even less than five minutes into the second half. Endicott (6-5-1, 3-2-0) then scored the GWG at 73:21.
Warburton led all student-athletes with three shots.
