Sam Band scored a power-play goal for the JWU (Providence) men's hockey team in a 5-3 loss to No. 7 Curry College in Conference of New England (CNE) action Friday night at Lynch Arena.

The Wildcats and Colonels were tied at two after one. Fennell secured his fifth goal of the season at 4:37 to tie the game at one before Band's third tuck of 2024-25 at 11:46 put the home team up 2-1. The Colonels ripped off the next four to move in front 4-2 midway through the third, and Torosian capped the scoring with his sixth with five minutes remaining.
