Women's lacrosse ends in First Round of NCAA Tournament

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Senior Maris DiBeneditto scored twice for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 17-3 loss to York (PA) College Saturday afternoon in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at Wesleyan (CT) College.

Junior Neely Connor also scored for the Wildcats, who finished the 2024 campaign with a 15-5 record. Connor also collected three ground balls while classmate Isabella Nugent won six draw controls and junior goalie Emma Glyman recorded 12 saves.

The Spartans led 8-0 after one quarter of play and 12-1 at halftime. Connor and DiBeneditto scored the final two goals of the contest in the fourth.
