Jackson Vecchio scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds remaining to lift the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team to an 11-10 win on Senior Day Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Donny McInnis netted six goals and freshman
Jack Davis collected six points on three goals and three assists as the Wildcats withstood a late charge by the Pilgrims to improve to 5-0 in conference play (7-3 overall). JWU led 9-5 heading to the fourth before NEC rattled of five of the next six goals to tie the game at 10 with four minutes remaining.
The Wildcats led 4-1 after one and 6-3 at halftime behind a natural hat trick from McInnis and a pair of goals from freshman
Jacob Graham. McInnis, Davis, and Graham scored in the third to send the home team to the fourth with a four-goal cushion.
Trailing 10-6 with 9:43 remaining in the fourth, the Pilgrims ripped off four goals in a span of 2:50 to pull even. Following a time out with less than one minute remaining, McInnis carried the pull out of the right corner and fed Vecchio for a shot just inside the top of the box for the winner.

Chris April stopped six shots to improve to 7-3 on the season. Graduate student
Mike Catuosco won 18 face-offs and registered 13 ground balls to go with five caused turnovers.
