Women's lacrosse rolls past Bulldogs, 20-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Katie Sloan scored five goals and junior Maeve Crowley handed out three assists for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 20-3 win over Dean College Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Sloan also dished out four helpers while classmate Maris DiBeneditto scored six times for the Wildcats (12-4, 10-1 GNAC), who saw eight different student-athletes record at least one point. Sophomore Izzy Babb racked up six points on two goals and four assists while junior Madeleine Gould registered four points (3-1-4) and junior Neely Connor collected three points (2-1-3).

Junior Isabella Nugent led JWU with seven draw controls and – along with classmate Mila Kuilan – picked up a goal and an assist. The Wildcats – who received five saves from junior and GNAC Goalie of the Week Emma Glyman – notched 12 caused turnovers, including two each from Nugent, Babb, and Gould.
