No. 5 Elmira deals JWU 5-2 loss

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team fell to No. 5 Elmira 5-2 Saturday afternoon in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at the New England Sports Village.

Senior Hayden Haldane scored his second goal in as many days and freshman Harout Torosian also found the back of the net for the Wildcats, who fell behind 4-0 after 40 minutes of play before making it a game in the third with a pair of tallies. JWU finished with a 31-30 advantage in shots and received 25 saves from junior Jacob Perrin, including four 10-bell saves to keep the Wildcats within striking distance.

Seniors Noel Parker and Maxime Dumas, along with freshman Joe Freeman, were credited with assists for JWU while senior captain Brent Rickett recorded a team-high eight shots.
