NEWTON, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team was defeated by Lasell University 3-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Saturday at the Lasell Athletic Center. The Lasers won 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

Peyton Oliver registered nine kills and closes her career with a program-record 1,531 kills. The Plainfield, New Jersey native also picked up eight digs and one service aces as the Wildcats finish the season with a 21-12 record.
In three years since taking over the program, JWU head coach
Michael Houlihan has guided the Wildcats to a record of 56-37 (.503 winning pct.), a pair of 20-win seasons, and two berths in the GNAC Championship – highlighted by a win in the 2022 GNAC Championship.

Bailey Koopman with four blocks. The Lasers (29-5), meanwhile, held the Wildcats to a -.074 hitting pct. and were led by McKenna McCool with 11 kills (.292 hitting pct.).
