Wildcats roll past Lasers in GNAC Championship rematch, 5-0

NEWTON, Mass. – The JWU-Providence women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 5-0 shutout of Lasell College Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Taylor Field.

Freshman Lulani Haslinger scored her first collegiate goal – which proved to be the game-winner – 96 seconds into the match as the Wildcats (1-0-2) finished the afternoon with a 29-5 edge in shots. Senior Angelina Carrion, along with junior Emily DeRoehn and sophomore Kylie Schmidt also found the back of the net in a rematch of last fall's GNAC Championship.

Junior Carly McCrumb did not record a save as she earned her first win of 2023. Freshman Grace Sheehan, meanwhile, notched her first collegiate assist on Schmidt's marker, which came at 25:50 and doubled the JWU lead.
