PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Graduate student
Aidan Bagley scored the only goal of the match midway at 74:20 to propel the JWU-Providence men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Emmanuel (MA) College Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (
GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Bagley's sixth goal of the season lifted the Wildcats record to 5-2-1 on the season (4-1-0 GNAC). Graduate student
Jacob Friedman turned aside three shot to move to 5-2-1 on the season as JWU outshot the Saints 13-7.
Bagley's free kick with less than 15 minutes remaining in the match came from outside the box. His shot found its way through a maze of players and into the lower right corner of the net. Bagley led all student-athletes with four shots and was one of seven Wildcats to play all 90 minutes.
