NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Coast Guard Academy 18-7 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at Cadet Memorial Field.

Senior Taina Gamory paced the Wildcats (1-2) with four goals while junior Maris DiBeneditto scored three times. Sophomore Isabella Nugent collected three ground balls to lead JWU and senior Margaret Johnson won six draw controls and notched two ground balls.

Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Glyman recorded 15 saves as the Wildcats were outshot 43-17.
