Rochester (NY) (9-2-6) outshot the Wildcats 6-3 through the first 45 minutes and held a 1-0 halftime lead behind a goal from Elijose Araujo. JWU elevated its level of play in the second half and finally drew even when Baker banged in a throw in from classmate Aidan Bagley at 82:05.

Following a pair of scoreless OT sessions which saw the Yellow Jackets credited with the only shot, the two schools proceeded to penalty kicks to decide who would advance to meet Tufts on Sunday. The first nine student-athletes converted their opportunity with Rochester advancing when the final JWU shooter's shot struck the hand and post of Yellow Jackets goalkeeper Santin Lupica-Tondo.

Graduate student and JWU's all-time wins leader Jacob Friedman registered six saves in his final collegiate match.

The Wildcats conclude the 2023 campaign 14-2-5 and outscored opponents 47-10 en route to posting 13 shutouts.
