Ava Pontes scored twice in JWU-Providence's 4-0 win over the University of Saint Joseph Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) field hockey action at the Scott Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Zofia Bangs were all credited with assists as JWU outshot the Blue Jays 21-1.
Pontes scored the only goal JWU would need at 18:37 with a turnaround shot. Johnson and Millett scored 1:08 apart in the third quarter to make it 3-0 before Pontes capped the scoring with her 11th of the season in the fourth.
