Pilgrims spoil Senior Day for Wildcats

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman Davis Bone scored his first collegiate goal in Johnson & Wales (RI) University's 5-2 loss to New England College Saturday afternoon in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's ice hockey action at the New England Sports Village.

Junior Carter Elrod also found the back of the net for the Wildcats (0-4-0, 0-2-0 NEHC), who went 1-for-11 with the man advantage and held a 35-30 edge in shots.

Prior to the contest, JWU honored six senior members of the program: Kodi Legassie, Mike Camasso, Breck Crawford, Declan O'Neal, Aaron Garrison, and Jared Lamothe. Crawford, Legasse, Lamothe, and freshman Brendan Doyle each picked up assists on the day.

The Pilgrims (1-2-0, 1-1-0 NEHC) jumped out to a 5-0 lead, scoring twice in the first and three times in the second. Camasso came off the bench in relief of starting netminder Jacob Perrin and finished stopped all nine shots he faced.
