The Johnson & Wales Men's Soccer team fell to the Norwich Cadets on Tuesday night. After a season which saw the Wildcats reach a regional ranking and go on a nine-game win streak ends in the semifinals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
The Wildcats fell behind early and were never able to overcome the deficit. Norwich scored their first goal in the 11th minute and added two more in the next twenty to take a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. The Wildcats continued to push and created opportunities, but were unable to put the ball in the net. With the Cadets adding three more goals in the second half, Johnson & Wales fell 6-0.
Esteban Osorio (Central Falls, R.I.), Ricky Africo (North Providence, R.I.) , Connerr Elliot (Mansfield, Mass.), and JP Rioux (Stony Point, N.Y.) all recorded shots on goal while Rioux and Osorio both attempted three total shots. Jacob Friedman (Woodland Hills, Calif.) made six saves in net.
