Skidmore Tops JWU Men's Ice Hockey 3-2

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team couldn't make a first-period lead stand up. Visiting Skidmore College scored midway through the third period to defeat the Wildcats, 3-2, on Friday in NEHC action.

Of Note:
JWU wasted little time getting on the board as Max Dorfman scored just 29 seconds into the contest with Matt Bernot getting the helper.

The Wildcats added another goal with less than five minutes left in the first period. Aaron Garrison and Conor Cassidy provided the assists on Kodi Legassie's score. It was the first assist of Garrison's career.

The second period was nearly scoreless, until Austin Rook scored for Skidmore on the power play. Forty-four seconds later Will Steele found the back of the net.

The Steele brothers struck for the game-winner at the 10:06 mark of the third period when Will set up his brother Avery's goal.
