Of Note:
The Wildcats opened the scoring just 84 seconds into the game. The rebound of Matt Bernot's shot came out to Logan Orem and he buried it in the back of the net for his third goal of the year.

Castleton's Alex Maunula factored into the next two goals as the visitors had a 2-1 advantage after the first period intermission. On the power play, he put back the rebound of Glenn Wiswell's shot at the 6:46 mark. With time winding down in the opening frame, he centered a pass to Calvin Moise and he slid the puck between the pads of JWU goalie Mike Rockwell Jr.

Dom Kuziak scored late in the second period then added a short-handed goal in the third period.

The Spartans kept Rockwell busy, holding a 35-20 shot advantage.
