With the recent promotion of Cassie Dib to Head Coach of JWU Spirit Squads (See story HERE), the Spirit Squad is now starting to see some growth. One of the new pillars, joining the JWU Cheerleaders, has been a staple at men's and women's basketball games in recent years. The Wildcat Dancers club dance team will now be the official dance team of JWU Providence Athletics and will be known as the JWU Dance Team and a major part of the JWU Spirit Squad.
The JWU Dance Team is the official dance team of JWU Providence Athletics. They will continue to perform at all home men's and women's basketball games, “Wildcat Madness,” and other various events across campus. The purpose of the team is to serve as an ambassador for JWU and promote spirit while continue to perform pom, jazz and hip-hop dances.
The JWU Dance Team is a part of the JWU Spirit Squad which works together with other teams such as the JWU Cheerleaders, Willie the Wildcat, and the JWU Pep Band. Tryouts for the 2019-2020 season will be held September 13th and 14th in the Wildcat Center's Multipurpose room A.
