Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee
made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the
student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the
rules, regulations and policies that affect student athletes' lives
on NCAA member institutions.
The Johnson & Wales SAAC is comprised of two or three
student-athletes from each of the 16 varsity teams. The JWU SAAC
holds meetings once a month.
This spring the committee was host to the "Big Event" on campus where more than 200 students on campus came to break a Guinness World Record for Most Individuals Arm-Wrestling at once. They also were set to host the annual "Walk For Hunger" before it was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
